End of Term Letter

Dear Parent(s)/Carer(s)

At the end of term, I would like to thank parents and carers for their continued support this academic year. It has been another busy year for us all at StJohn's which has enabled many to achieve success. We are hoping that examination pupils have achieved their potential and that each child at our school has flourished throughout the year in our Christian environment, not just academically, but also socially and spiritually.  This term has ended with many activities taking place, which help develop pupils' confidence and enable them to undertake new experiences.

Sadly some staff are leaving us at the end of the summer term. Mr Shires, Physics Co-ordinator, who has worked with great commitment and helped so many pupils at StJohn's and we wish him a very happy and healthy retirement. We are also saying 'farewell' to Miss White, Cover Support Assistant. We thank her for her hard work and contribution and wish her very best wishes for the future. We also thank Miss Robins, teacher of music, for her commitment and work and we wish her well.

I am so proud of our pupils and I would like to take this opportunity to praise them for their work this academic year.   Visitors to school constantly make reference to the exemplary behaviour of our pupils.  I am very proud of the fundraising activities that they regularly undertake which reflects their caring nature. I would also like to thank staff for their hard work and the high level support and guidance that they constantly give.    I also thank governors and local clergy for their support.

I am passionate about continuing to improve standards at StJohn's and would just like to remind you of the need for all pupils to wear the correct school uniform when they return in September. Make-up and jewellery are not allowed and the correct school shoes must be worn. I thank you in advance for your continued support.

In conclusion, thank you to all involved in the life of our school for making this a successful year for our pupils. I wish all a very enjoyable summer break and look forward to welcoming our pupils back to school on Wednesday 5th September 2018.

God bless. Yours faithfully
