The Archbishop of Wales, The Most Reverend John Davies visited St John Baptist High School in Aberdare for the Holy Mass to celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

It was a wonderful service and the Archbishop’s sermon was most inspiring. He spoke about ‘thinking outside the box’ and doing things differently. He mentioned how one person’s kind action can change a person’s life. If we all did this daily, we could change the world.

The service was attended by over 650 pupils, members of staff and members of the local clergy namely the Reverend Richard Green, the Reverend Ben Rabjohns, the Reverend Peter Godsall and Fr Bernard Lewis. Governors also attended the service.

Headteacher, Dr S M Mitchell said ‘This was a wonderful occasion for our whole school community and a great honour to have the Archbishop at our school.  We have all been inspired by his presence’.
