St John’s had a lovely surprise yesterday. Our school raised a lot of money for #WearRedForWalesAndVelindre and were rewarded with a visit from Sam Warburton.

Sam Warburton, who is a Patron for Velindre Cancer Care, gave a talk to the school on how the money raised helps Velindre and how it helps families spend more time with their loved ones.

He also spoke about his life experiences and was happy to have question and answer sessions with the pupils. It was a very inspirational morning.

Thank you to Mr Bradbeer, Head of Art, Mrs Ison and our Young Ambassador’s, Manon, Noah and Freya, who regularly raise funds for this wonderful cause.

A huge thank you to Sam Warburton and the Velindre fundraisers for visiting our school yesterday. We are so pleased to have helped raise money for this brilliant cause.
