Dear Parent(s)/Carer(s)

I would like to wish our whole school community a most enjoyable and relaxing summer break.  It has been a wonderful academic year for us at St John’s with so many highlights.

I would like to thank all staff for their continued hard work and commitment to our pupils.  Some staff are leaving us, namely Mrs Webber (Teacher of Languages and Learning Manager), Mrs L Earland (Teacher of Mathematics and Learning Manager), Mrs Phelps (Music) and Mr Sutcliffe (Cover Support).  We thank them for their excellent contribution and wish them well for the future.

I would also like to say how proud I am of our pupils.  The way in which they continually show respect, kindness and compassion is so impressive.  We constantly receive comments about their positive behaviour and attributes.  A very well done to each and every one of you!

We will be seeing our pupils on results day which are on 15th August 2019 for A levels and 22nd August 209 for GCSEs from 8.00 am.  We wish you every success.

Please can I ask parents/carers to continue to support us with our high standards of uniform and appearance.  Pupils are to return in September 2019 in the correct school uniform without jewellery, piercings, make-up or nail varnish.

Thank you in advance for your support.  I very much look forward to welcoming new and current pupils back to our school on Wednesday 4th September 2019.

Let’s make our academic year 2019-20 a great success for each individual pupil – our best year yet!

Have a wonderful summer.

God bless

Yours sincerely

Dr S M Mitchell
