Covid-19 interventions

Dear Parent/Carer/Pupil

We are working very hard to implement Covid-19 interventions.  We would appreciate your support in speaking to your child to reinforce the points below:

Pupils should:

  • Follow WG guidance for self-isolation
  • Staff and learners should not attend school if they have Covid-19 symptoms
  • If symptomatic, a test should be undertaken as soon as possible and self-isolation should start; if the test is negative, self-isolation can be left
  • Regular hand cleansing
  • Respiratory etiquette (‘catch it, bin it, kill it’)
  • Face coverings should be worn on school transport, in corridors and in communal areas

It is recommended that staff and learners undertake Lateral Flow Tests twice a week (3 days apart – Monday and Thursday morning).  LFTs are readily available from reception.  If your child has a positive LFT, you must book a PCR test and inform school if it is positive.

Thank you very much for your support in this matter.

Yours faithfully

Dr S M Mitchell
