A LEVEL RESULTS 2024

Students in St John Baptist CiW High School are celebrating excellent A level and AS results. Compared to the last time that pupils sat examinations, the percentage of A* grades has increased as well as the number of A*- A grades. Dr S M Mitchell, Headteacher, said ‘I am delighted with the grades that our pupils have achieved. They have attained success through hard work, commitment and diligence, and with the support and guidance of the staff at the school. We are really proud of every student.’ Students will now go onto the next stage of their lives whether it be in university, college, an apprenticeship or employment. Many students are going to university to study a wide variety of subjects in different places, for instance, Roman who achieved 3A*s and 1A will go to Warwick University to study Physics. Kian, who achieved 2A*s and 2As will also be studying Physics in Cardiff University.  Lawson will be studying medicine at Cardiff University with 3As and 1B and Lucy, who achieved 1 A* and 3As will be studying Dentistry in Belfast.  Iolo, who achieved 2A*s and 2As, will be going to Bath to study Natural Sciences and Owain will be studying maths at Swansea University having achieved 1A* and 3As. Morgan, who achieved 2*As and 2Bs will be studying Geography in Swansea University.  Head Boy, Leo, who achieved 4As will be studying law at Exeter University and Amelia will also be going to Exeter to study Computer Science with industrial experience. Scott will be reading financial maths with a professional placement at Cardiff University having achieved 1A* and 3As. It is lovely that one of our Ukranian students has achieved Art A level. On behalf of the whole school community, Dr S M Mitchell said ‘we wish our students continued success and happiness in the future’.
